FIMIGroup is made of 3 main divisions located in northern Italy together with 5 additional sites, commercial and productive for a more flexibility and speed of response in areas where our customers are more spread out.
Headquarter and Machinery Division Site
Viganò, Lecco – Italy
The Group’s headquarters and site of the Machinery Division, is located on an area of 19.000 m2, of which 10.000 covered, and employs around 100 people divided into the main activities of:
- Executive Board Finance and Controlling
- Technical Design Department
- Research and Development Department
- Sales Department
- Purchase Department
- Logistics
This is also where the mechanical workshop, paint department, assembly, testing area, shipping and where the team works on its state-of-the-art equipment:
- Levelling and cut to length lines
- Slitting and trimming lines
- Rewinding and coil inspection
- Automatic packing
- Processing lines
- Special machines for Aluminium
- API Electro-welded tube lines
- Tube finishing plants
- Open profile production lines
Machinery Division plant 2
Valmadrera, Lecco – Italy
Historical Franci’s headquarter, the new manufacturing plant increase the production capacity of the Machinery division.
It’s located on an area of 17.000 sqm, of which 10.000 sqm covered, and employs around 55 people divided into the main activities of:
- Mechanical workshop
- Assembly area
- Paint department
- Testing Area
- Warehouse
- Logistics
Headquarter Service Division
Mapello, Bergamo – Italy
The Service division is located on a total area of 8.000 mq square metres, where more than 50 people, including designers and technicians, are employed. Born in 2016, the division is responsible for managing the after-sales service of FIMIGroup:
- Coordination of installations, commissioning and start-up
- Consulting and training of customer personnel on site
- Procurement and supply of spare parts
- Technical interventions for ordinary and/or extraordinary maintenance
- Upgrading of plants, machines, electrical parts and mechanical assemblies, aimed at increasing reliability and production efficiency.
Headquarter Automation Division
Barzanò, Lecco – Italy
The Automation division is located on a total area of 10.000 m2, of which 4.500 covered, where more than 30 people are involved in the design and development of all the advanced automation on FIMIGroup plants, both software and hardware
The team operates in different competence areas, in synergy with each other:
- Administrative, purchasing and logistics
- Sales and marketing
- Technical Division
- Assembly and Construction
FIMI Shanghai (FMS)
Founded in 1997 as a representative office, it became a real business unit in 2006 on an area of approximately 1.000 mq. 15 employees are involved in sales, production and after-sales activities for the Asian market, both for the numerous lines in the area and for those being delivered.
FIMI GmbH – Sprockhövel (Germany)
FIMI GmbH was born in 2017 to meet the needs of the German and, more generally, of the Northern European market, it is the operating division able to guarantee timely and efficient intervention in an area with a high concentration of installed FIMIGroup plants. The main activities vary between ordinary and extraordinary maintenance, revamping, supply of spare parts for coil processing lines and after-sales assistance for new plants.
FIMI Swiss – Lugano (Switzerland)
Since 2018 it is a representative office located in the centre of Lugano, which focuses on the Eastern European market, providing strategic support for sales and assistance of plants, in an area where, especially in recent years, there has been a significant increase in sales for FIMIGroup.
FIMI India – Mumbai (India)
Founded in Mumbai in 2022, it was designed to pursue FIMI’s strategy of customer proximity, support and loyalty in the Asian area, where the presence of FIMI plants is really considerable, also creating new business opportunities.
FIMI Tube Solutions – Casalmaggiore (Italy)
Founded in 2023 with the aim of enhancing its offer in the manufacture of plants and machines for the production and finishing of electro-welded tube, with the purpose of becoming a reference player for this type of products as well.
